Fantasia quasi Sonata, from\nAnnées de pèlerinage II, S.161\n \nThis recital will explore the historical connection and stylistic influences between Peter Ilyich Tchaikovsky and Franz Liszt’s piano music in the way of their musical oeuvres. The recital will take place during Liszt’s 215th birthday anniversary, as well as Tchaikovsky’s 185th birthday anniversary, which occurred in 2025. The recital will comprise works that are relatively unknown, like Tchiakovsky’s Piano Pieces Op. 72, as well as works that are the cornerstone of piano solo repertoire, such as Liszt’s “Dante Sonata”. This recital is made possible by the Dierenfield Endowed Performance Fund.\n \n \n
